Corona Virus Quarantine Day #274: Alone time: Monday, December 22, 2020;

Alone time is not a thing in my life, and that’s ok, not a complaint, just a reality. I am rarely alone. Today I wasn’t alone either…but I did get to spend precious alone time with one of our kiddos. With 5 kids, this is something that I don’t often get to do either so every moment is precious! Fiona was the only child who had not had an opportunity to buy her Christmas presents for her siblings so I got to take her out to do that today and it was glorious.

What a blessing alone time with your kids can be. I so grateful. Fiona is such fun. She is smart and funny and determined and I enjoy her company so much. We were out for about 5 hours trying to find the perfect gift (she has her a bit of her Daddy in her when it comes to shopping) and we never once didn’t have something to talk about. She had me laughing quite often.

I am grateful for this gift of time with one of my daughters. This year has been crazy, as we all know, and it’s days like today that I’m reminded of how blessed we really are. We are just a few days away from Christmas and the countdown and the excitement are high in the Dorsey house each day. I love this time of year so much.

I was having so much fun I forgot to take many pictures of our outing but we took a few to send to Daddy!

The Dorsey children are very into making gifts for their family. They even wrap them by themselves. I just cannot with the duct tape wrap job! These are just some of Cooper’s presents. He’s been working so hard.

In 2020 there have been hard days for everyone, I am grateful that today was a beautiful one.
