Corona Virus Quarantine: Saturday shenanigans: November 7, 2020:

This is the first Saturday we have had free in a long time. Also, it was 75 degrees. Incredible. I have been feeling a little down, not gonna lie and nothing gets my spirits up like organizing, cleaning and decorating. So decorate it was. With 75 degree temps I felt the need to put up Christmas lights.

I have to tell you, it was the most satisfying thing in the whole world, and while I’m a long ways from done. I got all our bushes and 2 evergreens in the front done, as well as our archway.

I had a lot of small helpers and many excited small humans. They are completely ready to put up the Christmas tree and I’m 100% in! Why not?!? This year has been weird and hard and challenging, plus, putting up Christmas stuff is a lot of work so why the heck not do it early so we can truly enjoy it!

I also got the opportunity to go to a small socially distanced baby shower for one of my former players. At said shower, several of my other players were present. It was glorious to see them all and get updates…in person…on their life. Oh man, that felt so good.

It was especially good to see our former player celebrating what will be the most exciting event of her life, having a baby! We love these girls so much.

The rest of the day was spent playing sports and spending as much time as possible outside.

Then my sister took our two girls to get their nails and toes painted while I was gone. What a special treat for them to spend quality time with their Aunt Jenny and to be pampered. The loved it!

Finally, I finished my night at my sisters for a girls night! It was so much fun to sit and chat with adult women about adult issues with no interruptions.

I’m going to bed tonight feeling full and happy. I look forward to getting more done outside tomorrow and spending time with our humans.
